Will Yancy, M.A.Ed. is Executive Director of Triumph Ministries and has been actively engaged in helping people over the hurdles in life for 30 years. He pioneered Triumph Ministries in San Leandro CA, in 1996 and serves as pastor, educator, trainer, and conference speaker. His personal mission is “Equipping people to triumph in life.”
 
In 2002 Will became certified by Alameda County Probation Department to provide counseling for violent aggressors in interpersonal relationships. Will earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Adult Education and Training.
 
Through his education and experience, Will has become a trainer of batterer intervention facilitators, faith leaders, and others working with aggressors of DV. He assists staff and volunteers from various organizations, including the interfaith community, to become domestic violence aware, and develop the skills and competencies necessary to influence behavioral change.

In 2014 Will established a partnership with the Alameda County Family Justice Center to provide Domestic Violence training to the faith community. The mission of the Interfaith Domestic VIolence Network (IDVN) is to inform, equip, empower and support the faith community in Alameda County for the prevention and intervention of domestic violence.  

Through the IIPP Will provides technical assistance to faith leaders that will enable them to recognize abusive behaviors and/or the effects of abusive behaviors, provide appropriate guidance to victims of abuse, hold abusers accountable, and to develop a Domestic Violence policy.  

Will is a servant leader assisting the efforts of the Alameda County Probation Department the Family Violence Council of Alameda County, the Alameda County Family Justice Center, and the San Leandro Domestic Violence Task Force, working to improve the care of those victimized by domestic violence, enforcement of domestic violence laws, and education and treatment for perpetrators of domestic violence.

Will has served as a speaker, panel guest, guest lecturer, and workshop presenter for several organizations including: The Family Violence Law Center of Oakland, CA, Bay Area Church Workers Convention (BASS) of Castro Valley, CA, California Southern Baptist Convention, The Alameda County Domestic Violence Collaborative, Summit Medical Center (Sutter Health), Oakland CA, American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Second Chance Inc, of Newark, CA, Building Futures for Women and Children of San Leandro, CA, Transforming Communities: Technical Assistance Training and Resource Center of Marin, CA, Black Infant Health Project, San Francisco, CA. LifeLinks International, Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, the California State Baptist Convention, and Pacific School of Religion.
