Jackie Yancy

Jackie Yancy
Jackie Yancy is Program Director of Triumph Ministries (TM) providing counseling, support, and administrative services since 2003. Jackie saw the vision along with her husband Pastor Will Yancy to offer services for families in crisis.

For over 15 years, Jackie is recognized in Alameda County California as an experienced practitioner in the field of Domestic Violence providing services for victims and aggressors. Her reputation for serving in excellence dates back to 2002 when she worked as a case manager with Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments (SAVE). Working collaboratively with the Alameda County Family Justice Center, Alameda County Probation, and Alameda County Social Services, she has helped many families to reunite, abuse victims re-gain their lives, and aggressors (men and women) turn from violence to apply nonviolent conflict resolution skills.  Jackie carries out this proud legacy as co-founder of Triumph Educational Center with her husband Pastor Will Yancy, a known Domestic Violence leader, Educator, and Minister.

To create a solid foundation for her passion, Jackie received her B.S. in Organizational Management, and MS in Counseling with emphasis in Marriage, Child, and Family Therapy. While working over eight years for a higher education institution, Jackie became concerned with students who struggled with writing in college, especially students who came from low socioeconomic communities. Because of her never-ending concern, she completed her doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration in 2015. With her knowledge and experience working with the underserved populations, especially women, Jackie has empowered women to improve their self-worth by creating programs that focus on education, financial management, employability, and personal development.

Jackie is a strong advocate for adults, who have experienced trauma in the home and has developed an innovative evidenced-based counseling system, which addresses the aftermath effects of trauma. Focusing on creating a safe environment for healing, Jackie continues to help victims to choose healthy living, because healthy living is a choice.
