Supervised Visits Program

Supervised Visits Program
The public policy of the state of California is to protect the best interest of children whose parents have a custody or visitation matter in family court. Sometimes, based on issues of protection and safety, a judge will order that a child only have contact with a parent when a neutral third person is present during the visitation. This type of third-person visitation arrangement is often called “supervised visitation.”

Our supervised visitation program allow parents who have had their parental rights revoked or are in mediation to connect with their children in a safe environment. The visits occur in a safe, natural visitation environment facilitated by our social work staff trained to encourage positive interaction during the visits. We provide an exchange plan that minimize parents seeing each other, contributing to the safety of everyone involved. We also provide feedback to referring agencies to determine the success and/or challenges associated with visits.
